Class Description

✅ Basic Life Support (BLS) course equips healthcare providers and public safety professionals with skills to handle breathing and cardiac emergencies for all age groups.

✅ Successful completion grants a 2-year BLS digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to the certificate and training history..

What You Do 

1️⃣ Sign up. Pick a skill session time that works for you. You will automatically receive an email that has the online portion after ordering. 

2️⃣ Complete the online portion at home: Do this BEFORE coming to the session. It saves your work throughout so you do not need to do it in one sitting. The price you pay includes both the online portion and the in-person skills session.

3️⃣ Come to the class at your scheduled time! 

 

Very Important to Know:

 

➡️ This is NOT an Online Class. This class is not considered to be an online class because there is a skills session in person part of the class. The card you get at the end is the same one as a fully in-person class. 

✅ PDF Certification To Your Email: You will get your card within 24 hours after the skills session (guaranteed in less than 4 hours if expediated delivery is selected). You must complete the online portion BEFORE coming in for the skills session. 

💪 Physical Requirements: This class requires that you are in good physical shape. You agree that you can provide adequate compressions, get on and off the floor, move around freely, and do all physical requirements for CPR and First Aid. You hold Cardia CPR and Safety harmless and take full responsibility in the event you are injured during this class.

• 4-Hour Delivery: Receive your card securely as a PDF in your email within 4 hours of class ending.

REFUNDS/RESCHEDULE

Rescheduling Class (29$ Fee) -  If you need to reschedule your class or you miss it entirely, you will need to pay $29 to be rescheduled. Information and the link to reschedule are included in the email you receive after ordering. 

Please review the refund and reschedule policy below as I try my best to explain to you our reasons for this.

• Is this an online class?  Short answer, no. Most employers do not accept online classes. Fortunately, because there is an in-person skills session, the certificate you receive is exactly the same as any fully in-person class. Please know that because there is a skills session, the certificate you receive is accepted everywhere. 
• Do you offer renewal/challenge courses? 

  
  

  The Red Cross does technically offer renewal/challenge courses for students to test their knowledge and renew their BLS certification. This being said, the closest location I have found that offers this option is in Buena Park. You can find this by searching https://www.redcross.org/take-a-class/bls. 

  However, if you want to renew your certification, our class here is a Blended Learning that allows you to speed through the material if you know it. 
  
  The online course includes a pre-assessment that allows you to test out of the content you already know. You can also navigate through the course quickly by using the right arrow to skip to the questions if you are familiar with the material.

• Do I Need BLS? If you are a healthcare worker or a first responder, you likely need BLS. If you are any other profession (education, childcare, construction, etc.) you likely need the other class we offer. Click here. 
• How long will it take to get my certificate? You will receive your certificate within 24 hours after completing your skills session class. 
• Do I need a computer? The Red Cross Blended Learning program works best when done on a computer but can be completed on your phone. I have found that Google Chrome works best when you are running the program. 
• How long does the certificate last? Two years.
• Can I bring my child? Yes, please feel free to do so. They can even participate with you! 
• How old do you need to be to take the class? There are no age restrictions. You need to be able to have the strength to physically push down on the mannequins. Our recommendation is that anyone about 12 or older should be totally fine.
